Why Mugshot Coffee?

1. Tongue in cheek. Espresso shots in a mug.

2. One of the owners (Dave) has been in more than one “Gotcha” paper over the years thanks to an abusive relationship with a bottle.

We thought we’d try to make light of Dave’s struggles with alcoholism, while celebrating overcoming addiction.

Not owned by a L.E.O. but absolutely have love for them. Dave wouldn’t be alive without his last arrest.

Here at Mugshot, we celebrate everyone. We’re all humans with flaws and triumphs.

We also have a sense of humor.

Q: What type of restaurant are you?

A: We are a bit different. We aren’t a Restaurant with Coffee. We are a Coffee Shop with Food. We do make one helluva Breakfast Burrito though.

Q: Do you have a “Jailhouse” theme?

A: Absolutely not. There was a misunderstanding with news outlets when we announced our intent to open. Our Mugshot mugs are about as jailhouse as we get. Inside is bright, a bit crazy and overall FUN. We hope you like orange.

Q: When did you open?

A: Our Grand opening was December 21st, 2024.

Q: How’s business going?

A: We are a private company, so our financials are not public record, but to summarize: Booming.

Q: Do you have Gluten Free options?

A: YES! We have Udi’s bagels and any biscuit can be made into an Udi Bagel Sandwich at our dedicated Gluten Free Station.

Q: Do you have Vegan options?

A: YES! Our Father Clucker, sub potato, no cheese as a burrito or bowl is one of a few modified items that will make our Vegan customers happy!

Q: Do you have donuts?

A: We do not. If we do carry donuts, you may have to fight Ownership for them.

Q: Do you make your own pastries?

A: Sure do! And the only place you can find our soon to be (in)famous Croisookie is in our shop!

Q: Do you cater?

A: Of Course! Use our Catering Form or Call us at 804-482-3636 during business hours to discuss dates and costs. We need at least 24 hours advance notice. 48 hours for larger orders.

Q: What Are Your Hours?

A: We are open 7:30am – 2:00pm Tuesday through Sunday. We are closed on Monday.

Q: Are you a Chain/Franchise?

A: Nope. Mugshot Coffee is 100% Dave and Alex starting this concept from scratch! We also work here every day, come say Hi.
